Dear passengers,

On the occasion of the official visit of Pope Francis to Romania, between 31.05 and 02.06.2019, we anticipate that road traffic will be difficult, especially in Bucharest, Bacau, Iasi and Sibiu, where the official visits will take place. Also, traffic restrictions will be imposed in these cities.

We ask passengers to check these restrictions in order to avoid possible delays, to take precautions and to ensure that they arrive in time at the airport in order to be able to carry out all the necessary formalities before take-off.

Pope Francis’s program: he will arrive in Romania on Friday (31.05.2019), landing at Henri Coanda Airport (Otopeni) around 11:30 AM, and will spend the whole day in Bucharest.

On Saturday (01.06.2019), Pope Francis will head to Bacau Airport and, in the afternoon will arrive by helicopter at Iasi Airport, and then return to Bucharest in the evening.

Sunday morning (02.06.2019) he will depart to Sibiu Airport and after the Blaj visit, he will return to Sibiu in the evening to board the plane that will take him to Rome, with departure at 17:30.
