To accelerate the company's efforts to return to its low-cost roots, Blue Air welcomes Krassimir Tanev, one of the most experienced executives in the industry

Starting July 1st, Blue Air is proud to announce Krassimir Tanev as the new Chief Commercial Officer. Passionate about airlines and aviation, Krassimir is one of the most experienced executives in the low cost industry. He has dedicated his entire career to the flight industry, working in a number of key management and business strategy positions over the past 20 years.

 

He is in possession of a large expertise and proven success record in team leadership, airline turnaround and transformation, network strategy and planning, revenue management, business development, global sales and distribution management, marketing and brand development, customer experience.

He brings a rich commercial and leadership experience in major European airlines, both legacy and low cost, joining Blue Air from IAG group where he served several roles as Director of International Markets at Vueling, and also as Managing Director at the sister airline LEVEL Europe. Previously he served as Vice President International Sales at Alitalia, Executive Director at LOT Polish Airlines and Executive Director at CSA Czech Airlines.

In his new role, Krassimir will be responsible for the continued development and execution of Blue Air’s commercial strategy, focusing on delivering best in class LCCs customer experience, coherent and competitive revenue and pricing strategies and a cost efficient sales and distribution model, as well as managing Blue Air’ s rapidly expanding network.  

Krassimir takes over from Carsten Schaeffer, a former executive at Lufthansa, Air Berlin and Saber, who will remain a member of the Board of Directors of Airline Invest, Blue Air's majority shareholder, and will continue to support the company in all strategic projects.
