Terms and Conditions - Blue Air Account, Blue Wallet, BlueBonus and WTV – Voucher Top-Up Wallet

Blue Air Account

The Blue Air account represents the virtual identity of the user of the www.flyblueair.com platform, created by providing the following information:

- e-mail address;

- name and surname;

- date of birth;

- gender;

- password.

Through the account, the holder can access information about the services purchased (previous and future), the Blue Air Wallet associated with the Blue Air account (uploaded amount, available amount, expiration date, etc.) and the Blue Benefits subscription (the type of subscription purchased, expiration date, etc.), if such a subscription has been associated with the Blue Air account.

Blue Air’s account holder must be at least 18 years old at the time of registration.

The e-mail address of the user of the www.flyblueair.com platform allows the creation of a single Blue Air account, as it is not possible to create multiple accounts using the same e-mail address. The personal data associated with the Blue Air account, provided during the registration formalities, may be modified at any time by the account holder, as long as a Blue Benefits subscription is not associated with the Blue Air account, in which case the personal data cannot be modified until the expiration of the Blue Benefits subscription.

One of the facilities of the Blue Air account is that the account holder can save in his/her account certain travel documents (passport, ID) so that at the next purchase made through the Blue Air account, certain fields can be auto-completed.

A Blue Air Wallet will be automatically associated with a Blue Air account, following the creation of such account.

Blue Air Wallet

Blue Air Wallet is a refund solution applied for Blue Air’s passengers in the event of a disrupted flight in accordance with the provisions of (EC) Regulation No. 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 February 2004 establishing common rules on compensation and assistance to passengers in the event of denied boarding and of cancellation or long delay of flights.

Blue Air shall offer passengers the possibility to receive the remedies they are entitled to under the afore-mentioned European Regulation, respectively refund and/or compensation, in the form of a credit uploaded into the Blue Air Wallet, this being the fastest and most innovative way in which they can receive their refund.

The Wallet’s characteristics are:

  • The credit amount is available 24 months and can be used once or several times until the balance runs out;
  • The credit amount is not personal or granted to a particular person and can therefore be used to make bookings for the recipient or another person;
  • The recipient can check the available credit balance directly in its customer web account;
  • The credit amount can be used for the acquisition of all services marketed on Blue Air’s website and performed by Blue Air (no 3rd party services and/or products can be bought using the credit amount);
  • If the credit amount available in the Wallet is not enough to cover the entire cost of the services booked, the difference will be paid by card, directly on the website, in the very last step of the booking process;

The credit amount can be used to cover all types of fares, including the promotional/discounted ones.

WTV – Wallet Top-Up Voucher

WTV – Wallet Top-Up Voucher is the dedicated refund solution addressed specifically to Blue Air’s passengers that booked their flights through a travel agency (online or offline) and not on Blue Air’s website or other direct channels of distribution (Blue Air call center or Blue Air ticketing offices), through which such eligible passengers can express their preferred refund option as available in accordance with the aforementioned European Regulation.

Through this WTV – Wallet Top-Up Voucher, eligible passengers can receive their refund in the form of a Voucher transferred into the customer’s Blue Air Wallet, this being the fastest and most innovative way in which eligible passengers can receive their refund.

In order to initiate the WTV – Wallet Top-Up Voucher flow, eligible passengers must access their customer web account created on www.flyblueair.com and upload the voucher ID (received by e-mail from the travel agency) by accessing “My profile”. Once the profile is accessed the passengers need to click on “Have a voucher?” button and introduce the voucher code received from the travel agency. If the eligible passengers do not have a customer web account already created on Blue Air’s website, then such an account must be created by following the instructions found on www.flyblueair.com, before initializing the WTV – Wallet Top-Up Voucher flow.

The WTV – Wallet Top-Up Voucher flow automatically deploys the full unused amount of an eligible booking into the Blue Air Wallet connected to the customer web account of the eligible passenger that initiated the WTV – Wallet Top-Up Voucher flow. In order for the WTV – Wallet Top-Up Voucher flow to deploy, the customer web account must be created by one of the passengers found in the eligible booking (a match of names shall be made by the system).

If an eligible passenger does not wish to receive the refund it is entitled to in accordance with the aforementioned European Regulation in the form of credit through the WTV – Wallet Top-Up Voucher refund solution, then such passenger can opt for cash refund by sending a request using the official Blue Air communication channel, being in this way added to the waiting list of cash refund requests.
